SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System) is a system that is used to evaluate various areas of performance of Logistics Service Providers and Chemical Distributors; ensuring that these companies operate within safety, quality, security and environmental parameters. The assessment is standardised, and consists of a standardised questionnaire. 

A key element of the program was the development of some forms for Systems Evaluation for the Safety and Quality (Safety and Quality Assessment Systems - SQAS), each relating to a particular transport mode or logistic operation (road, rail, intermodal stations washing, shipping of goods packaged or bulk terminal and inland waterways). SQAS provides a tool to check evenly, and by independent assessors with a standardized questionnaire, the Quality Management Systems, Safety and Environment of logistics service providers in order to avoid multiple audits by individual chemical companies. SQAS helps chemical companies in the process of selecting logistics service providers and identifying improvement actions, with each of them.
